Evan Wood is a drummer, bandleader, and educator from Northeast Connecticut. Evan currently leads multiple local jazz, hip hop, funk, and groove bands and is an active member of the live music scene in Connecticut. On the education front, Evan leads the Fitch High School Drumline, is a private drum set instructor at the Rhode Island Philharmonic School of Music, and leads the Thames Valley Music School summer jazz program. Evan aims to teach the perspective of a working musician and show his students the realistic possibility of building a career as a professional musician while always maintaining a passion and love for the music they are playing.
